Focus on: Interview with Claudia Toet
The Youth Desk of Rotterdam has a collaboration with many partners to support youngsters at risk, marginalization and vulnerable youngsters in their independency and self-sufficiency. To receive benefits, a youngster must approach the Youth Desk. We provide a type of funnel (a first stop shop), because we know that behind the request for benefits usually one or several other hidden requests for help are hidden. We have the expertise to help the youngsters. They receive intensive support in their needs towards independency. Read more here.

Focus on: Production of the first on line Course
We, at Double Helix resources were delighted to be asked to participate in the ‘We Hear You’ Project. Our main responsibility is to lead the collaborative work that will innovate a course to support practitioners working with marginalised young people. The working title of the course is: “Improving cultures & structures for youth democratic participation”. A course for practitioners”. Read more here.

First newsletter online
Here you can find the first newsletter of the We Hear You Project. In this first newsletter we’ve interviewed the project coordinator, Ulrika Wennerholm. She helped us understand quite briefly what this two-year project is about, what the project partners will develop and what the rationale behind this project was.

Kick-off meeting Västerås
On the 18th of September the first meeting of the project partners took place in Västerås. Everyone met at the City Hall to plan the future project activities and management plan. The objective for coming to Vasteras was mutual learning, seeing how to work together in the most productive way for the next years. In addition the opportunity has been to know which local best practices seemed to work in order to collect them for the data base of the project. Read more here

Just after the start of the project which will be first of September 2017, the website saw it's first light on the fourteenth of September, with the basic information of the project.
